Understanding Trust, Stigma, and the Human Experience in Health
My current work investigates how stigma, identity, and mistrust of healthcare systems shape the ways people seek care, engage in treatment, and experience well-being. Drawing on behavioral science and clinical practice, this overarching program of research seeks to understand the human and systemic forces behind health-related behavior — and to translate that understanding into more equitable, compassionate, and effective care.
